THIS property was a former Constitutional Club, complete with bar, snooker room, an unsightly block of toilets stuck on the side and a huge tarmac carpark out the back.

Together with local architects and builders, we transformed this rundown eyesore into a striking family home.  We tried to continue the Georgian style as far as possible, so the new parts were in keeping.

The snooker room is now an open plan kitchen and the beer cellar is an office. The heating and hot water are provided by a ground source heat pump and the former car park is now a garden full of wildlife.
