THIS chalet-style, 1920s house in Broadstairs hadn't been updated for 40-plus years and was riddled with 1970s fixtures and fittings.

The kitchen and bathroom were ripped out and the old conservatory pulled down, replaced with a kitchen extension with roof lights.

An outbuilding that had been a large utility was converted into a bedroom with ensuite, joined to the main house via a new grey aluminium conservatory/sun trap.

The rest of the house was fully insulated, renovated and refreshed, as well as totally rewired and replumbed. The garage got its own matching  roof - for aesthetics and storage.
